To develop the coronavirus vaccine that has spread to 12 countries, several institutions, pharmaceutical companies to coalitions, and health organizations in the world have taken part in researching the development of the Coronavirus.
Previously, the University of Queensland (UQ) had been asked to develop a vaccine for the coronavirus outbreak with an unprecedented speed of vaccine development on Friday (01/24/2020).
CEPI collaborates with Inovio pharmaceuticals in the United States and Moderna biotechnology companies.
Richard Hatchett, as CEO of CEPI in a statement, said, "Given the rapid global spread of the nCoV-2019 virus, the world needs to act quickly and unite to overcome this disease."
Although there is no guarantee of success, the team hopes its findings can provide a significant and essential step forward to develop a vaccine for this disease.
The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovations (CEPI), together with the University of Queensland, will involve the use of molecular clamp technology to develop vaccines against known pathogens such as the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus.
